Regarding the NY Times explosion, there are two parties of interest: anti-war and pro-McCain. Both must be investigated. Anti-war groups are already under investigation. The party of high interest in this matter is the Republican strategy group because of the election year. Any event such as the recruiting station explosion provides the motive: shunt the fearful to vote for a military nominee. One bit of evidence is the timing. One day President Bush assures Senator McCain that whatever it takes will be done (paraphrased).
The next day there is a recruiting station explosion with consequent media exploitation.
When the bicyclist is caught, determine who paid him and for how much, if he really did not act alone.
The NY Police Commis very properly deigned to speculate in public. Speculation in private is necessary both in forensics and in profiling; so let's not forget the motive!
